The original Karella "Master Dartboard" is made from millions of tightly compressed high-quality sisal fibers. These sisal fibers have the advantage of rejoining after the dart is pulled out. National and international championships are exclusively held on sisal dartboards. This manufacturing process also allows for the use of soft darts (with plastic tips). What makes the Karella dartboard special is its construction with a so-called diamond or pyramid wire system. The upward-pointing wire division prevents bounce-outs that would occur if the dart directly hits the center of the wire. The thickness of the board and the diameter meet tournament requirements.
