Product details
Are you a garden railway enthusiast looking to operate switches on your garden railway layout with a realistic slow movement? This and many other features are now possible with the new EVO-S switch drive from Massoth. With the EVO-S, Massoth has not only improved the switch drive but has reinvented it, filing a patent for this unique product concept. What makes it so special? It offers a realistically slow movement while also allowing for the switch to be cut. Even after being cut, the EVO-S can be switched back to the previous preferred position at any time. Alternatively, the drive can be configured so that the switch blades are firmly in place. The EVO-S is the smallest mass-produced drive with an integrated decoder, suitable for all types of switches from common manufacturers. The DCC decoder supports both digital and analog operation with minimal programming effort for immediate use right out of the box, making it ideal for digital beginners. The required endpoint for the switch blade movement does not need to be programmed, as the drive self-adjusts at all times. It offers up to 12 mm of movement, sufficient for all standard switches. A manual fallback switch function can be activated for either of the two switching directions. And of course, the drive operates almost silently. However, the EVO-S wouldn't be suitable for outdoor use if it hadn't been specifically designed for it. The electronics are not placed at the bottom of the housing as usual but are housed in an air cushion at the top. This ensures that the motor and electronics remain dry. Additionally, the electronics are encapsulated for protection against moisture. Rain and standing water do not affect the drive. Once the water has drained away, the EVO-S can be used as usual.
