Product details

An additional advantage of the reversing loop module: multiple reversing loops can be used simultaneously in the system. The DiMAX reversing loop module is a particularly powerful and efficient module that switches digital current of up to 15 amperes without causing a short circuit. Typical reversing loop modules create a short circuit when a train enters, forcing a polarity reversal of the track due to a voltage drop. In contrast, the new DiMAX reversing loop module operates without short circuits, preventing any interruption of the voltage on the track. This eliminates the overload of the digital central unit caused by the intentionally generated short circuit, which particularly protects track components such as locomotive decoders, turnout decoders, and the electronics commonly installed in locomotives and cars. The DiMAX reversing loop module can be operated with all NMRA / DCC compatible digital systems and switches peak currents of up to 15 amperes (continuous current up to 8 amperes) depending on the available driving current, which is quickly needed for garden railway locomotives with multiple motors or for multiple locomotive traction. Alternatively, the DiMAX reversing loop module can also be operated in the regular short circuit operating mode. The package includes 8 insulating rail connectors as well as 4 sensor track pieces.
