Product details
Each track spiral can be constructed to ascend either to the right or to the left. The complete kit includes all necessary supports, track segments, and a detailed assembly guide. For each track spiral, a base circle is required. The number of additional circles needed depends on the height you wish to bridge.
A track spiral is a spiral in which a train travels from one level to a lower or higher level. Thus, the train moves downwards or upwards within the track spiral. The track spiral has the same gradient at every point, allowing even long trains to easily manage significant height differences.
The outer curves of the track spiral are elevated by 3 mm. This significantly improves driving safety and reduces rolling resistance. Track spirals are offered for the H0 and N gauge, precisely tailored to the specific requirements of different railway brands. All track spirals can be constructed to ascend either to the left or to the right.
Each track spiral requires what is known as a base circle. This base circle includes the entrance into the spiral and the exit from it. Any number of additional circles can be added to this base circle, depending on the height difference the train needs to overcome.
The base circle encompasses 1 ½ circles. With a base circle, the clearance height as well as the entrance and exit are achieved. The additional circle consists of a full circle. Any number of additional circles can be added to a base circle, allowing even the largest height differences to be managed effortlessly in a compact space.
The kit includes precisely milled track segments made of 4 mm thick plywood, along with cleverly matching supports and brackets.
