Tainted Grail is a survival and exploration game that combines the Arthurian legend with Celtic mythology into a unique, dark vision. Players control one of four unusual characters who face unimaginable adversities that have defeated stronger and wiser heroes. Pursued by the overwhelming power of the Wyrdness, they set out to save Avalon from destruction. In Tainted Grail, each player chooses one of the four unique characters, each with different starting conditions and abilities. As a group and also individually, they traverse Avalon. They interact with inhabitants, explore mysterious locations, gather food, and fight against numerous enemies. An innovative card mechanic is used in battles and diplomatic encounters. Players repeatedly read passages from the Book of Discoveries and make decisions that affect the course of the game. Sometimes, it can be crucial which character is present at that moment. Note: This is the retail edition of Tainted Grail. The figures are unpainted. The Kickstarter-exclusive character Niamh is not included.
