Powerful, compact, and yet extremely delicate, this new construction from PIKO is presented. The squat design of the prototype has been perfectly captured and scaled down into the model. Thanks to the intricate bar frame and the unobstructed view in the engine area, the hefty boiler appears to almost float. This impression is further supported by the fine wheel stars of the chassis, which also features a delicate brake linkage. The typical structural features of the prototypes have also been taken into account in the model's design. The crystal-clear window inserts of the cab and the unobstructed interior allow a view of the detailed boiler and cab back wall. The zinc die-cast and metal parts give the model a very high weight, which, in combination with the finely tuned motor with flywheels, ensures optimal driving characteristics. By retrofitting a PSD XP decoder, the lighting of the engine and the cab, as well as the flickering in the firebox, can be controlled digitally. A modern PluX22 interface is available for this purpose. Furthermore, the model is prepared for a sound upgrade with the largest possible speaker.
