New design! After the German Reichsbahn gained operational experience with the V 60.10, the design was optimized: The series V 60.12, starting in 1970 as series 106.2-9, received a new cab that offered better protection against rain, snowfall, and sunlight. In addition to structural changes to the chassis, the front hood now featured three double doors, while the rear hood had two. The model includes the large cab, the top light on the motor hoods, many individually applied parts, metal coupling rods, and is prepared for digital and sound upgrades.
