WONDERFUL!!!! This "sacred site". It's a remake of 2008's (10118 with 1 stone less xD). HUGE with 5923 pieces (only has 160 different pieces, meaning you could think you always have the same stone in your hand) divided into 14 (!!!) stages. Luckily the bags were numbered. Then I had 4 cosy evenings with this piece. ^^
Basically, each level is built 4 times in the same way.
1. the foundation (with 8 elements that can be pushed together.) Incl. the 4 big towers at each corner.
2. then comes the main part with the 4 walls. The smooth white surface and a light blue engraving around the building is an eye-catcher.
After that the corners for the main part are built. This is then all pinned together.
4. 4 little towers with the small domes.
5. the big dome.
The area is 51x51cm or in Lego language: 8 plates with 16x32 studs ^^ The thing has class and mass, weighs almost 6 kilos (!!!!and there are "only" Lego bricks!!!!)
Especially the 208 tiles (368001) for the floor at the beginning (if you put 1 wrong, you can hardly get them off, despite enclosed orange helpers!!!!) as well as the 341 1x1 transparent bricks (trans clear 302401) stacked on top of each other for the windows (always 2x 6 pieces, resulted in 1 window and the thing has 24 windows....), that was a "punishment work" , in between lost the lust for life ^^.
Since you had to do the same work step so many times, you have a dejavu, these transparent stones will probably still haunt my dreams xD.
I proceeded with the metotic that I ALWAYS did 4 of the same work steps, because one(s) alone got ahead a little better.
This set does not include any stickers (WHAT A WELL DONE!!!).
About the model. You can take out single elements (the dome, the middle part as well as the foundation which is also put together in 6 parts), which is extremely helpful for the transport.
The 4 towers at each corner are a bit wobbly, because inside only a thin rod is put through and the outer elements are clicked around the rod (not to the rod!!!).
And the moral of the story, I feel like I've aged 10 years, but when it comes along in all its glory, it's a feast for the eyes in the display case, even if the price is very high. I would not recommend this model to a child, as it is very, SEEEHHHHRRR time intensive and requires a lot of patience. But it makes an excellent eyetouch.
