Track H0Product details
Electric locomotive 470 504 of the Raaberbahn/Györ-Sopron-Ebenfurti Vasút (GYSEV). 150 years ago, the foundation for this railway connection between Hungary and Austria was laid. On October 15, 1872, Emperor Franz Joseph I granted the concession for the construction of a railway line from Raab (Győr) through Ödenburg (Sopron) to Ebenfurth in Lower Austria. The section between Raab and Ödenburg was opened in 1876, followed by the remaining stretch to Ebenfurth in 1879. Since 1988, the entire route has been electrified. The Raab-Oedenburg-Ebenfurter Eisenbahn AG, now known as Raaberbahn (GySEV in Hungary), connects the two countries of Austria and Hungary and continues to serve as an important link in public transport. For the anniversary, the 470 504 received a striking advertising design in May 2022.
