Train set 2 "Arlberg Express" featuring two passenger cars from the Austrian Federal Railways. It includes a second-class domestic passenger car, type Bmpz, and a first-class panoramic car, type Ap. The "Arlberg Express" was one of those trains with a memorable name, whose introduction dates back to the era of transcontinental luxury trains. Unlike its siblings, the "Orient and Oostende Express," it traversed all of Austria in a west-east direction. Over time, the train evolved into an international service with through coaches. In addition to the main route from Vienna to Paris, the train carried numerous through coaches, for example, to the Salzkammergut and from there to Salzburg, where they were detached from the train. There were also through coaches from Vienna to Carinthia and East Tyrol, which were further transported from Schwarzach-St. Veit via the Tauern Railway. Depending on the composition, it is possible with the offered sets to recreate the train in various configurations such as Vienna – Salzburg – Schwarzach St. Veit – Innsbruck – Buchs.
