JR Sanyo Shinkansen 500 Type Shinkansen Kodama version of the Z-Shorty series. The 500 Type Shinkansen was developed to compete with the then-popular air travel. The Shinkansen features a unique and functional design that produces less railway noise and allows for higher speeds compared to earlier Shinkansen models. Although more than 20 years have passed since its launch, this type of Shinkansen remains popular to this day. This set includes 3 cars (front car, middle car, and rear car) with individual dummy chassis. SA002-1 serves as the locomotive for the middle car, while SA004-1 transforms the front and rear cars into trailers.
