Hirelings can be integrated into the game with any number of players. With fewer players, the Hirelings add new figures to the board, increasing the excitement and providing more tactical options. With more players, some Hireling abilities are flipped to reveal new special powers, allowing for the development of unique and powerful strategies.

A base game of Root is required to play.
