With this granulate, you are well-prepared in your workshop for all lithium fires. If a battery ignites, you can extinguish it quickly, safely, and cleanly with the granulate.

The granulate is applied softly onto the fire. The expanded glass granulate envelops the fire and suffocates it. At particularly high temperatures, the expanded glass melts and spreads over the surface of the burning metal. The melt forms an airtight seal that crusts over as it cools, extinguishing the metal fire. Re-ignition is effectively prevented.

The fire extinguishing granulate is suitable for fire loads of classes D and lithium-ion. Problematic fire loads such as metal fires, battery fires, lithium fires, or flammable liquids can be controlled and extinguished with the granulate without causing damage from extinguishing agents. The extinguishing effect of the granulate on metal fires has been tested and confirmed by MPA Dresden using sodium and magnesium fires.
