The Toyota Celica GT-Four RC was developed as a homologation vehicle for participation in global rally races, with 5,000 units sold worldwide in 1992. This car, with its sleek and powerful body, featured a 2-liter turbo engine with metal turbines and a water-based intercooler system, delivering 235 hp. The 4WD system utilized a central viscous coupling and a Torsen differential at the rear for excellent controllability and traction. In global rally races in 1993, the Celica GT-Four brought Toyota (ST185) its first manufacturer and driver championships. The TAMIYA model is based on the proven 1:10 scale TT-02 chassis. This chassis allows for multiple adjustments in wheelbase, ground clearance, track width, and gear ratio, and with countless optional tuning parts, it can be quickly modified into a racer.
