The Scania 770S 8x4/4 is a real workhorse. It is the heavy-duty version of the Scania 770S - the top model from Scania. Tamiya has modelled one of the most beautiful and powerful heavy-duty tractor units in 1:14 scale. The S series from Scania includes a V8 turbo engine with 770 hp. The 8x4/4 means that the original is driven on 4 wheels and the two front axles are steered. Exactly these functions are also reproduced in the Tamiya model: The model is driven via the two rear axles and with a 3-speed manual gearbox. The two front axles are controlled via a steering servo and, as in the original, have different steering angles. The second axle can be lifted. The wheels can be raised or lowered using a mechanical lever on the top of the chassis. The highlight is the faithfully reproduced heavy-duty tower behind the cab. The pressure vessels are located in this heavy-duty tower for a realistic appearance. The body parts are already pre-painted in TS-38 Gun-Metal.
