Undoubtedly, it was not always the subdued colors that made the Range Rover so popular. The first SUV produced in Britain possessed that automotive flair that was hardly seen on the continent in the 1970s. The Range Rover had a unique position, providing comfortable all-wheel enjoyment – a touch of luxury even off-road. WIKING now presents the Brit in an attractive red design. With this, the traditional model makers are miniaturizing the first generation of the Range Rover with all its purism in a contemporary red appearance. The noble off-roader, once positioned alongside the Land Rover by British Leyland, would never have made it into the WIKING program back then. The niche existence of the original was too significant. However, this assessment has changed significantly in retrospect to automotive history. Today, the Range Rover is considered the mother of the now-popular SUVs.
