Product details
The Granada was designed to stand out on the streets. Buyers of the Granada were not interested in subtle colors – their Cologne limousine was meant to attract attention. This was owed to the Flower Power era of the early seventies. The bright yellow Granada was popular, and its size gave the body a striking character on German roads. The first-generation Granada was for a long time Ford's counterpart to the Opel Rekord. It quickly established itself as an independent and competitive luxury sedan from Ford. Introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 1972, the Granada quickly caught attention with its innovative, perhaps atypical design for Germany. It was indeed different from its predecessor, the P7 series. The characteristic curves provided a sense of comfort to the viewer and gave the first generation of the Granada a charm that its successors would never regain. Thus, the Granada I has earned its place in the classic chronology of WIKING. The body is bright yellow, with a black-gray chassis. The interior features a black steering wheel. The grille is black with a silver frame. The front headlights are transparent, and the rear lights are red-transparent. The rims are silver. The bumpers are black with silver accents. There is extensive silver trim on the sides of the vehicle as well as on the front and rear. The silver rear badge reads "Granada L," with the model designation "2.0" on the flanks.
