Model building historical awareness à la WIKING: In 2021, this is the second homage to the early years of WIKING, when alongside the young series of traffic models with unglazed models, large-scale industrial orders were also produced. Thus, the traditional model builders have now miniaturized the Normag Faktor I tractor based on the large WIKING model in a scale of 1:87 – a true classic that documents the mechanization of farming operations at that time. This young 1:87 tractor tells an authentic story of its prototype and WIKING tradition. 15 horsepower was sufficient for the original to ease the daily life of farmers, whether in full-time operation or as a side business. The new 1:87 model recalls this eventful history, emphasizing the prototype quality of the industrial model. The model building traditionalists were able to work effortlessly with the larger model brother for this latest project. The proportions were correct, the engravings were true to the original, achieving a miniaturization that meets the demanding character of all tractor classics. The model builders have also made the double-joint pendulum axle movable in 1:87. The grille features six ventilation slots, while the air filter is placed on the left side. Additionally, the headlights are conveniently inserted to achieve the authenticity of the large prototype even in 1:87.
