1. Zoch Menara - Rituals & Ruins

The expansion for the cooperative building game Menara is packed with excitement: spectacular temple floors, golden columns, and even the tears of the gods try to prevent players from achieving collective success. The playing crew always faces a scenario of their choice. As in the base game Menara, the temple builders gather information and advice from their fellow players before each turn. Construction plan cards dictate how temple floors should be equipped with columns. The new rituals present players with fresh challenges that require clever cooperation, strategic finesse, and steady hands to overcome.

Warning: Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small parts that may be swallowed.

2. Zoch Ananda

Experience the harmonious interplay of meditation and strategic architecture with Ananda! In this board game for 2-4 players aged 10 and up, you will build temples and let your monks meditate within them. Round after round, you place building blocks from your supply onto the game board, creating colorful, connected areas that earn you valuable karma points. Before your eyes, an impressive structure emerges, constantly opening up new tactical and strategic building options. Keep an eye on your opponents' plans, as they can benefit from your constructions and get in your way! Only those who skillfully manage their resources and keep an eye on the competition can collect the most karma points in the end. When all the blocks have been used, the player who has gathered the most karma points with their meditation cards wins. Ananda, developed by Dirk Barsuhn, combines simple, relaxed moves with profound strategic decisions. The soft colors by Matthias Holländer create a harmonious atmosphere that enhances the gaming experience.

4. Zoch Beethupferl

Each child receives a well-sized cardboard watering can, into which they fill blue marbles as water droplets. The three-dimensional vegetable bed consists of depressions covered by field tiles. When a player rolls a water droplet over the bed, it triggers a spectacular effect: the watered tile spins around its own axis, revealing a vegetable. Whoever skillfully and wisely waters to bring forth the third vegetable of the same type gets to harvest that plant. For added excitement, greedy snails hide in the bed, feasting on the fresh treats of the gardeners. The player who can harvest the most vegetables while avoiding the snails proves their green thumb in Beethupferl and wins.

7. Zoch Is anyone there??

Ten pairs of animals have hidden themselves in a large three-dimensional bush. However, only a few splashes of color can be seen through the viewing slits between the branches. Look closely and find out which colors are missing to identify which animals have made themselves invisible behind the thicket at the bottom of the bush. In each round of the game, new animals retreat into this hiding place. Those who discover which animals are currently concealed in the thicket quickly grab their wooden figure! As a reward, everyone who guesses correctly receives picture cards to assemble their own little zoo. "Is anyone there??!" by Zoch is a fun and colorful animal search game centered around visible and invisible colors. It promotes observation, problem-solving skills, and attention in children. 8. Zoch Spinderella

The spider brothers Roberto and Klaus lower their sister Spinderella down the thread to the forest floor, where the ant trails run. There, the spider girl stirs up the ant marathon, with the winners determined by the players during the game. While each player tries to get their three ants to the finish line first, Spinderella intercepts the eager crawlers of her competitors from above. To do this, she must manage to get close to the little marathon runners. A mobile, hollow piece of bark that serves as a shield for the ants becomes a fiercely contested trophy among the termites. However, ants are not only safe under it but also blocked in their forward movement. In each turn, three dice and the active player decide whether to move spiders, ants, or perhaps the piece of bark. Whoever catches a foreign ant with Spinderella's help sends it back to the start and may also move one of their own ants forward. The winner is the one who gets all three of their ants to the finish line first.

9. Zoch The junk dealers from the Highlands

Embark on an adventurous journey through the Scottish Highlands! As a resourceful peddler, you travel from village to village, collecting goods and successfully delivering them to their destinations. However, the journey is filled with challenges: rough terrain, swamps, rivers, and stubborn donkeys make life difficult for you. With your cart and clever use of feed, you overcome every obstacle. At the beginning of each round, several stacks of cards are formed and laid out face up. Pay close attention to which cards go into which stacks, as you will take one of them into your hand to play. With 2-4 players, you plan your routes, collect trinkets, and fulfill requests to earn valuable points. Be mindful of your feed usage, as too much could give your opponents an advantage! Who will manage to deliver the most valuable goods and secure the title of the best peddler? And who will fall behind because they gave their horse too much feed? This captivating family game by author Carlo A. Rossi offers varied gameplay through clever card use and tactical decisions. The atmospheric trip to the Scottish Highlands has been beautifully illustrated by the sought-after artist Dennis Lohausen, making it a delightful and stylish visual treat.

10. Zoch The godmother

The power struggle for Beasty Town is in full swing. 2 to 4 players aged 12 and up take on the role of the boss of a ruthless family clan that stirs up the entire city. To ensure controlled conditions everywhere, players send their henchmen into all neighborhoods and dark alleys of the city. Respectable businesses, from the pizzeria to the hair salon, are expanded into shady back rooms and transformed into profitable enterprises. The boss of Beasty Town is someone for whom scruples are a foreign concept. The game board features various city districts surrounded by sewers. There, players position their obedient rats to take control of the surrounding areas and outmaneuver their competitors. With three henchmen for heavy lifting at her side, the boss takes control of all businesses in the conquered districts and leads them to their new purpose. Over the course of five exciting game rounds, players must complete five missions—doing so in a way that makes their rivals green with envy. It’s not just about limitless expansion and territory control. To become the true boss, one must control the most and strongest sewers in the entire city, build the widest network of back rooms in Beasty Town, and shamelessly surpass any measure of modesty with the spoils of extorted protection money. Highly interactive and challenging, "The Boss" pits the competing players against each other, forces them into temporary ceasefires, and simultaneously encourages them to bring the entire game board under their control. Those who master all five missions can proudly claim the title of true boss in the world of strategy games. "The Boss" is undoubtedly the undisputed queen of strategy games.
