I read on the internet that there are two additional roles in the game and that you can therefore play it with up to 10 people. Is that correct?

no. the game is for 6 persons + 2 additional roles. so max. 8 persons

That is correct. There is a script for 8 people, but two of them do not necessarily have to be cast - so it can also be played with 6. Two additional roles can be assigned, but they have to write their own lines and improvise;) have fun!
