The Goldfinch
Secrid has created a collection of wallets inspired by Dutch masterpieces from the Mauritshuis in The Hague: a small world-class museum with a formidable collection of Dutch paintings from the age of Rembrandt and Vermeer. Fabritius’ painting depicts a goldfinch in life size. Goldfinches were popular pets, as they could be taught tricks like drawing water from a bowl with a miniature bucket. High detail printing ensures that the individual brushstrokes are distinguishable on the leather wallet.

Wallets have a lot to endure. Therefore, Secrid always tests every new item and develops on quality and durability. After elaborate testing, Secrid can confirm that the print retains its appeal and does not bleed color during use.

Supple Italian calf leather serves as the base for the Art collection. The artworks have been printed on the leather in exquisite detail, showing the smallest details such as the cracks in the paint. An engraving on the inside of the wallet tells of the paintings and in which museum it can be found.
