Helpful answer

Yes, the base of Calla and Lily are the same. It is the 40W power supply unit. The important thing is that the 40W power supply is only designed for a maximum of 5 lamps and not more than 40W. But both Calla and Lily need 8W per lamp. I myself operate a mix of Calla, Lily and the Outdoor Light Strip with one power supply unit. It works perfectly.

Helpful answer

I have 1x base and 2x extensions in use without problems. According to the manufacturer, up to 5 lamps can be connected to one power supply unit. According to reports from the internet, however, a maximum of 4 lamps should be used because the brightness of 5 lamps can decrease depending on the scene/colour.

Yes, you need the starter set because of the power supply unit. See scope of delivery: 1 x Calla base light 1 x power supply unit with cable (2.9 m) 1 x connecting piece 1 x cable (3 m) 1 x Ground spike (for fixing in the ground) The Hue Bridge would have to be purchased in addition to the starter set (if you don't already have one).
