Solid WiFi 6 mesh system with good wireless backhaul performance
This WLAN mesh system does a good job. It can be operated either with a wired backhaul (LAN cable between mesh nodes) or with a dedicated 5-GHz wireless backhaul (a separate WLAN just for the backhaul traffic).
I did some real-life file transfer tests in a low traffic home setting and found the following:
50-60 MB/s (~500 Mbit/s) transfer speed with wired backhaul
35-45 MB/s (~350 Mbit/s) transfer speed with wireless backhaul
These are pretty good values, I would have expected the performance impact of the wireless backhaul to be much worse. Very positive is also that I got consistently good results wherever I placed the nodes in the house. So the wireless backhaul signal seems to be very strong and stable.
