These mainboards are equipped for Windows 11

Windows 11 requires a TPM 2.0 chip. Four manufacturers have announced which of their motherboards meet these requirements.

For the first time since Windows 7, Microsoft has increased the minimum requirements for Windows 11. One of the things the new operating system requires is a version 2.0 TPM chip for encryption. You can theoretically retrofit it to a PC, but it would be better to get a suitable motherboard or to have one in use already.

Virtual TPM equivalent to TPM 2.0

If your motherboard is listed as compatible for Windows 11 by the manufacturer based on the virtual TPM, it’s quite possible that you still have to activate the virtual TPM in the BIOS to be able to install Windows 11 later or the Insider Build now.

These motherboards support Windows 11

It’s quite straightforward for the AMD mainboards, as all four manufacturers state the 300 Series, 400 Series and 500 Series are compatible with Windows 11. It gets a bit more complicated with the Intel mainboards:
