The 3D-basics TPM Wash Solvent is a non-flammable cleaning solution with low odor, specifically designed for the removal of uncured resin from stereolithographic (SLA) and digital light processing (DLP) 3D-printed parts. This 5-liter solution utilizes tripropylene glycol monomethyl ether chemistry to effectively dissolve and clean uncured photopolymer resins while ensuring workplace safety through its non-flammable properties and minimal odor development. The solvent has a lower evaporation rate compared to isopropyl alcohol (IPA), allowing for approximately three times more cleaning cycles per fill, thereby reducing consumption and costs. For optimal cleaning results, printed parts should be immersed in the solvent for at least 5 minutes to completely remove any remaining uncured resin. The product is compatible with Formlabs Form Wash and Form Cure systems as well as Finish Kit accessories. While it is effective for standard resin applications, this TPM formulation is currently not certified for use with Formlabs biocompatible resins. Protective gloves should be worn during handling. To maximize the lifespan of the solvent and minimize waste, parts should first be pre-treated in previously used solution from earlier cleaning cycles before being transferred to fresh TPM solvent. This approach extends the usability of the cleaning agent while maintaining consistent cleaning performance across multiple print cycles.
