Product details
With the improved optics compared to the predecessor and the robust build quality, the lens is especially suitable for close subjects. The special highlights of the fixed focal length are: the maximum magnification of 1:1, the particularly close minimum focusing distance of 17.5 cm and the design, which achieves high sharpness and clarity in the details over the entire focus range. Thanks to the manual focus, you can adjust the focus setting very precisely. A 9-blade diaphragm inside the lens provides a pleasant bokeh effect. You'll also enjoy smooth, quiet rotation when using the aperture ring, which makes it ideal for video applications.
The macro lens impresses with its low image field curvature, uniform sharpness across the entire image field, and low distortion. It is particularly suitable for imaging small objects as faithfully as possible up to a scale of 1:1. It allows you to get very close to an object without blurring the image. This allows you to take impressive close-ups with a high level of detail.
This lens can be focused manually only. Although manual focusing takes longer and is more demanding than working with autofocus, it does offer some advantages: It allows you to focus on exactly the point you want, enabling you to take shots that are exactly what you want. You also prefer to focus manually in situations where autofocus would quickly become overwhelmed - for example, in low light, smooth surfaces with little texture, or in foggy weather.
