The quiet aluminum AK-959CU features a multi-directional heatsink with a copper core, whose fins are split to further increase the surface area and thus the cooling performance. Additionally, the AK-959CU uses a PWM fan that is controlled by the motherboard based on the processor load. Under normal operating conditions, the fan can run at a low speed, resulting in an extremely low operating noise. Higher cooling performance is also available if needed. The cooler is equipped with push pins to ensure secure and quick attachment to socket 775 and socket 1156. High-quality thermal paste is already applied to the underside, keeping everything nice and clean. The AK-959CU is designed for processors with a TDP of up to 115 W. Higher cooling performance can be achieved through increased airflow in the case.
