Product details
Every water cooling system requires hoses or hard tubes to connect individual components such as radiators, coolers, and expansion tanks. Until now, PVC hoses have typically been used in water cooling systems. The Alphacool AlphaTube TPV introduces a new material from the Alphacool Enterprise Solutions series. TPV, or EPDM rubber, is preferred in the industry.
What is the advantage of TPV? Compared to PVC hoses, the AlphaTube TPV hoses offer various benefits for water cooling. They are significantly more resistant to acids and bases. Additionally, they are much more temperature-resistant than PVC hoses. The Alphacool AlphaTube can withstand temperatures up to 155 °C. While PVC hoses can deform at higher water temperatures, especially at points with tighter bending radii, the TPV hose maintains its shape. This eliminates the risk of the hose deforming to the point where water flow is obstructed.
How easy is it to install the AlphaTube? The Alphacool AlphaTube TPV hose can be installed just as easily as any other PVC hose. It is fundamentally a bit stiffer, but only slightly. The handling when installing the TPV hoses is just as simple as one would expect from PVC hoses.
What is special about a TPV hose? The Alphacool AlphaTube TPV is characterized by its high resistance to acids, bases, and external influences. It also boasts an exceptional durability that far surpasses that of PVC hoses. The matte black hose additionally offers a subtle velvet appearance, making it an eye-catching feature in any water-cooled PC.
