The APC Smart-UPS XL protects data with reliable, high-quality power supply and scalable backup times. The models are available in tower format or for rack mounting. The devices can be configured with up to 10 additional battery modules for backup times exceeding 24 hours if needed. Typical systems that require longer backup times include mission-critical application servers and storage systems, IP and PBX-based voice networks, as well as switches and hubs in corporate environments. The included management software, PowerChute, provides IT administrators with the assurance that connected systems will be properly shut down and offers advanced UPS management features. Additional management capabilities can be integrated via the SmartSlot. This internal expansion slot allows for the installation of optional accessory cards that provide further performance optimization options. The Smart-UPS XL is based on the same technology as the award-winning Smart-UPS, with over 10 million installed systems. Additionally, it offers an exceptionally long backup time for enterprise applications that require uninterrupted availability.
