For those who need an additional LAN port on their laptop or desktop PC, or who do not have an RJ45 socket that supports Gigabit LAN but still want to connect to the network at speeds of up to 100 Mbps, the ADE-XR Gigabit Ethernet 10/100 Adapter from AXAGON offers a solution.

The black adapter connects to the computer via USB 2.0 Type A. On the other end, you plug in the network cable. An integrated Realtek RTL8152 chip handles the data translation from RJ45 to USB. The adapter also supports Full Duplex Flow Control.
