Axis PoE+ midspans are connected to the power source (DC, AC, mains), convert the power, and inject it into the network cable, allowing Axis network video products to receive both data and power over the same Ethernet cable. Thanks to the high PoE products, it becomes much easier to install network video products in areas where there are no power cables and outlets available. At the same time, installation costs are reduced.
All IEEE 802.3af or IEEE 802.3at compliant network devices can be powered through the midspans, meaning they can be used with all Axis network video products that have integrated PoE support. The AXIS T8134, AXIS T8124-E, and AXIS T8125 deliver 60 W (twice IEEE802.3at), which is necessary for operating, for example, AXIS Q60-E network cameras in temperature ranges below -20 °C. The AXIS T8134, AXIS T8124-E, and AXIS T8125 require 100 to 240 V AC or 24 V AC.
