The Extreme Networks MGBIC-08-BO compatible 1000BASE-ZX LC Duplex SFP features a receiving function (receiver with 1550 nm) and a transmitting function (transmitter with 1550 nm) for transmitting optical signals over single-mode fiber, taking into account the respective transmission protocol. This transceiver is suitable for use in all common hardware platforms that officially support the original Extreme Networks MGBIC-08-BO 1000BASE-ZX LC Duplex SFP, such as switches, routers, storage systems, load balancers, and measurement devices. Each Extreme Networks MGBIC-08-BO compatible 1000BASE-ZX LC Duplex SFP supports Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, or SDH/SONET high-speed applications of up to 1.25 G per second.
