PTP 650 LPU and grounding kit (one set per end)
PTP 650 LPUs provide surge protection for PTP 650 installations. Two LPUs are required for each power supply or Aux drop cable, one near the outdoor unit and the other near the connected device, typically at the building entry point.
An LPU and grounding kit is necessary for connecting the power supply to the outdoor unit. If the outdoor unit is to be connected to an auxiliary device, an additional LPU and grounding kit is required for the Aux drop cable.
PTP 650 LPUs are not suitable for installation on SFP copper Cat5e Ethernet interfaces. For SFP drop cables, appropriate surge protection devices can be obtained from a specialized supplier. Surge protectors are not required for optical SFP Ethernet interfaces.
