Compact and efficient – the XA series 4K camcorder features UHD resolution and a wide zoom range. The XA40 is equipped with a 1/2.3-inch type CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV6 processor. Thanks to HD oversampling, it achieves optimized Full HD image quality. The XA40 offers a lens with 20x optical zoom and a 29.3 mm wide angle.

The combination of the 4K 1/2.3-inch type CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV6 processor ensures high-quality 4K UHD recordings, and thanks to HD oversampling, it also delivers excellent Full HD recordings. Recording formats include MP4 UHD at 150 Mbps with 25p and Full HD at 35 Mbps/17 Mbps with 50p/25p.

4K lens with 20x optical zoom and wide-angle range. With the 20x optical zoom and a maximum wide angle of 29.3 mm, it allows for nearly all desired shots. The 5-axis image stabilizer ensures steady recordings, while a 3D lens group effectively supports the wide-angle zoom function in near real-time.

Infrared recording function. The XA40 features an infrared mode that allows for recording even in extremely low or no ambient light. Options for recording in white or green mode are available.

Slow-motion/time-lapse recording. Work as the project requires: with continuous recording in slow-motion and time-lapse mode in both UHD and Full HD at speeds of up to 1,200 times.

Lightweight and compact with professional features. The XA40 weighs only about 1.2 kg, and the 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD allows for intuitive control. This extremely mobile camcorder supports PCM 4-channel audio with an integrated microphone and two XLR inputs. Additionally, it offers two SD card slots for simultaneous or continuous recording.
