This transceiver features a receiving function (receiver with 850 nm) and a transmitting function (transmitter with 850 nm) for transmitting optical signals over multimode fiber, taking into account the respective transmission protocol. The Cisco XFP-10GD-MMX-BO compatible 10GBASE-SR LC Duplex XFP is suitable for use in all common hardware platforms, such as switches, routers, storage systems, load balancers, and measurement devices that officially support the original Cisco XFP-10GD-MMX-BO 10GBASE-SR LC Duplex XFP. Each transceiver supports Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, or SDH/SONET high-speed applications of up to 10 G per second.
