The celexon CAT 6A patch cable - S/FTP transmits network signals at speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second with an operating frequency of up to 500 MHz. This allows not only for use in the traditional TCP/IP area but also for the application of IP streaming and HDBaseT infrastructures.

The S/FTP specification (Screened Foiled Twisted Pair) describes the shielding structure of these patch cables. Each pair of wires is individually shielded with foil. Additionally, all four pairs are further shielded with a wire mesh, complying with the ISO/IEC 11801 Ed 2.2 standard. This ensures that the cables are well protected against disruptive external electromagnetic fields.

The LSZH cable sheath (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) of the celexon CAT 6A patch cable is made from thermoplastic or thermosetting materials and is free from halogens. Unlike PVC cables, LSZH cables produce minimal toxic smoke gases in the event of a fire, making them particularly suitable for indoor use. In public areas where network infrastructures need to be installed near high-traffic locations or laid out openly, the use of LSZH cables is mandated by the EU. The toxic fumes emitted by burning PVC pose a risk to human health.
