The new generation of Flip video camcorders is equipped with image stabilizers and records in 720p resolution at an increased frame rate of 50 frames per second.

In addition to direct uploads to YouTube, users can now also post their videos directly to Facebook and Twitter. The improved snapshot feature makes it easier to extract photos from the videos. A "Magic Movie" button allows users to create a highlight video from multiple individual scenes at the push of a button.

Wie sein großer Bruder setzt der Mino auf einfachste Bedienung, nur im noch kompakteren Gewand. Auch er bietet den Vorteil, dass auf seinem Display selbst bei prallem Sonnenlicht noch genügend viele Details zu erkennen sind. Er filmt mit 50 Bildern pro Sekunde, jedoh nur mit 1280 x 720 Pixeln. Der defekte Tonkanal geht wohl aufs Konto der Serienstreuung.
