Many causes of recording or reading errors are temporary and can be resolved by cleaning the tape drive. Regular cleaning of the tape drive contributes to long-lasting reliability and should be performed at regular intervals as well as upon the drive's request. Cleaning with this cassette is done using the dry method without flammable materials, resulting in a clean recording head gap after each use. The cassette is specifically designed for use with all LTO Ultrium tape drives.
