The rotary switches of the Z-DS series are modular in design: The switch itself consists of the latching mechanism and the switching package. The switching cams (also called cam switches) are driven by a stable, torsion-resistant aluminum shaft. The switching package consists of one or more switching cells with one or two independent, double-breaking contacts. The connection of adjacent switch terminals, as required for the voltmeter switch Z-DSV, is integrated into the switch housing. This ensures that there is no obstruction when connecting the terminal wires.
