The AMD X570 high-end chipset supports AMD's Ryzen 3000 processors (codename: Matisse) and their complete feature set, foremost among them the PCI Express standard in version 4.0 (PCIe 4.0). PCIe 4.0 is backward compatible and can be used with all expansion cards from previous generations. Each PCIe 4.0 lane allows for a data transfer rate that is double that of PCIe 3.0, enabling an NVMe SSD connected via four PCIe 4.0 lanes to achieve a theoretical read/write speed of up to 7.8 GB/s. Additionally, any motherboard with the X570 chipset is compatible with all other AMD CPU series for the AM4 socket.

The Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master X570 motherboard in ATX format features extensive RGB LED lighting on the voltage regulators and the cover on the I/O panel. The lighting can be controlled via the manufacturer's RGB Fusion 2.0 software. Additional RGB LED components can be connected and controlled through two 4-pin RGB headers (12V) and two digitally addressable 3-pin RGB headers (5V), provided they are compatible with the motherboard's RGB software.

For graphics cards, there are two PCIe 4.0 slots in x16 format, which are directly connected to the Ryzen 3000 processor via a total of 16 PCIe 4.0 lanes. An additional PCIe x16 slot is connected to the chipset via 4 lanes (PCIe 4.0 with Ryzen 3000; PCIe 3.0 with all previous generations). A PCIe 4.0 x1 slot is also provided for expansion cards.
