Quick-release square plate. Gitzo's quick-release plates are available in three different profiles (A, B, and C). Each profile comes in various lengths (short or square, medium, and long) and with different features (graduated scale, anti-rotation pin) as well as attachments (1/4 inch - 3/8 inch). In the new collection, Gitzo has combined some 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch mounting plates into a unique new code that includes two screws for both sizes. Having two screws available for each mounting size is ideal, especially with long plates when using heavy equipment or long lenses. As a general rule, it is preferable to always use the largest possible attachment. In any case, even if the smaller screw needs to be used, it always guarantees a high safety standard. In fact, all bolts and screws from Gitzo are made of high-quality steel.
