Description Gateway: Modbus-RTU / Modbus-TCP. Transparent data exchange between a Modbus-TCP client (Master) and Modbus-RTU slaves. Acts as a server (Slave) on the Modbus-TCP side. Supports 10/100 Mbit Ethernet (Modbus-TCP). On the Modbus-RTU side, it supports RS-232 and RS-485. Easy configuration (Node Address, IP address, etc.). This Modbus gateway implements a server (Slave) on the Modbus-TCP side. The gateway transparently forwards Modbus-TCP telegrams to the Modbus-RTU slaves connected to it. Requests from a Modbus-TCP client (Master) to the slaves in the Modbus-RTU network are converted by the gateway to Modbus-RTU. Conversely, response telegrams from the Modbus-RTU slaves are also transparently passed through by the gateway for the Modbus-TCP client. Thus, this Modbus gateway allows Modbus-TCP clients to communicate with one or more Modbus-RTU slaves. The physical connection of the Modbus gateway to Modbus-RTU is made via a 9-pin D-sub connector for RS-232 and an RJ12 connector for RS-485.
