The routers of the ECR series feature all the essential interfaces for implementing extensive applications ranging from remote services to IIoT. Both the LAN and LTE variants offer Wi-Fi for operation as an access point for local networking or as a client for integration into an IT infrastructure. The LTE version allows for mobile redundancy through dual-SIM and fallback to UMTS and GSM. With its RS232 and RS485 interfaces, the ECR is also suitable for easy retrofitting of existing systems. The integrated digital I/Os further expand the range of application possibilities. This VPN router, like the SCR, is universally mountable and suitable for both control cabinets and small distribution boards. In addition to the INSYS operating system icom OS, it also includes the icom SmartBox, an integrated Linux environment where scripts and programs can be executed directly on the router. Therefore, an ECR router is not only suitable for secure remote maintenance.
