Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cables are becoming increasingly popular in the network industry. The passive SFP+ 10G DAC Twinax cable is a cost-effective alternative to RJ45 and fibre optic cables, with energy efficiency and low latency. It is an excellent choice for structured cabling over short distances between switches and routers on one side and servers and storage on the other, whether in Top of Rack (ToR), Adjacent Rack, 10G stacking switches or similar applications.

No heat generation and suitable for extreme ambient temperatures - ideal for data centres

SFP+ DAC consists of twinaxial copper cable terminated on SFP+ connectors at both ends and provides an electronic connection directly into the active components. Due to its thermal design, this passive cable consumes less than 0.15 W, which reduces your power consumption and therefore your costs.
