The winning duo receives an ancient artifact that grants wishes. Fate/Samurai Remnant continues the series' epic Holy Grail War in the fourth year of the Keian era in Edo period Japan. Several decades have passed since the end of a turbulent, bloody era, and while the people finally enjoy peace and tranquility, a battle between seven pairs of masters and their servants is about to take place as the Waxing Moon Ritual unfolds in the shadows. Here, the hero of the game, Miyamoto Iori, a young man in Asakusa, along with his servant Saber, find themselves fighting for the last remaining pair who can obtain the wish-granting device, the Waxing Moon Vessel.

In Fate/Samurai Remnant, the player takes control of master Miyamoto Iori, who has studied the Niten Ichiryu sword fighting style. He fights alongside Saber, a servant with strength that surpasses that of humans. When encountering enemies beyond human control, players can command their servant to attack using powerful magical techniques or even take direct control of the servant to attack. During the game, you have the opportunity to explore the city of Edo, where terraced houses, samurai residences, and brothels stand side by side.
