The QD series of quick disconnects from Koolance allows for a very simple and practical way to interrupt the coolant circuit by simply pressing down on a metal ring. This is especially necessary in situations where hoses or water cooling components connected to the rest of the cooling system need to be frequently disconnected. For example, consider an external radiator that you want to quickly and securely detach from the PC during transport to carry it separately. Or think of a water cooling component that is frequently changed, whether out of experimentation (CPU or chipset coolers) or due to regular upgrades (VGA coolers).

Two QD2 quick disconnects made of nickel-plated brass are connected or separated (one male, one female), with Koolance having developed valves that, as the name No-Spill suggests, are intended to ensure a certain degree of leak resistance. However, it should be noted that a hundred percent immediate sealing is not possible, and up to 0.2 ml of liquid may escape.

This variant in the new revision features a straight female version with a G1/4-inch external thread.
