The LevelOne POI-2012 is a PoE injector (PSE) featuring an Ethernet input port (data only) and an output port (data and power), designed for small to medium networks. This injector converts the 100-240V AC power supply into low voltage, allowing PoE-compatible devices to be powered through Ethernet cabling. It utilizes spare-pair technology, which uses the unused wires in Fast Ethernet connections for power delivery. By adding a PoE splitter to existing non-PoE networks, additional network products such as access points and IP cameras can be easily deployed. This provides administrators with flexible installation options, as PoE PD devices do not need to be placed near a power outlet.
