Product details
The LX-3 MKIID LX-3 MKII uses a 25mm microfibre dome tweeter to produce clear and detailed high frequencies with a neodymium magnet for maximum magnetic performance in a small space. The tweeter is lightweight, with an impressive transient attack for all high frequencies. On top of the 6.5-inch WOOF driver on the LX-3 MKII is a new version of the Mission Diadrive with a seamless curvature port instead of a cone and stroke. The driver of the LX-3 MKII loudspeakers is made of an advanced double-layer fibre formula, which has excellent self-damping and a very high stiffness-to-mass ratio. A high-strength ferrite magnet ensures that the magnetism is accurately guided in the speech for an ultra-linear excursion and focussed performance. The bass driver utilises comb fences around the driver to scatter interfering reflections. As a result, the driver produces a smoother frequency response with less resonance. MKII version Roor The MKII version of the LX series has adapted the Wissel filter to make the speakers smoother with a remarkable improvement in off-axis balance. To promote timing and rhythm, the LX Series speakers utilise Mission's inverted driver geometry, placing the midrange driver above the tweeter. The wavelengths of the woofer and tweeter coincide at the listener's head height. The housing of the LX-3 MKII loudspeakers has been designed to use a large amount of internal damping to reduce the colouration of the midrange and improve the bass response. Thanks to computer-aided design, the LX-3 MKII loudspeaker cabinets have improved rigidity with less unwanted resonance.
