The Mobotix media converter set transforms existing two-wire lines into a PoE+ network. This is done quickly, easily, and cost-effectively. No additional cables need to be laid to connect and network IP cameras and other PoE devices – even over distances of up to 600 meters.

The complete set consists of a transmitter (Tx) and a receiver (Rx) to establish an Ethernet transmission link over two-wire lines. It enables the transmission of Ethernet and PoE+ power supply according to IEEE1901. Connecting 10/100 Mbit Ethernet devices is straightforward, with a maximum transmission bandwidth of 95 Mbps and a range of up to 600 m for data and 300 m for PoE, depending on the quality of the two-wire line.

Network data is encrypted using 128-bit AES. The power supply for the transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) as well as the end device is provided via a PoE+ network switch or an external power supply (not included). Connected end devices are powered through the PoE switch, supported by IEEE802.3af (PoE), IEEE802.3at (PoE+), and UPoE up to 60W (requires external power supply).

The device features status LEDs for data, power supply, data link, and PoE. An integrated surge protection (IEC 61000-4-5 4kV (1.2 / 50us), 2kA (8 / 20us)) is also included.
