Additionally, you can also configure the PATCHBOX with the most flexible and bend-resistant fiber optic cables on the market (with Corning ClearCurve fibers). Our Cat. 6a cables are available in 8 different colors (black, blue, red, green, yellow, white, gray, purple), and our fiber optic cables come as OS2 and OM4 with LC-LC and LC-SC connectors. Shielded Twisted Pair (STP). This STP cable is a symmetrical cable with twisted and shielded pairs. Shielded cables exhibit minimal impedance or reactance deviations compared to unshielded ones. The transmission parameters remain relatively constant and better at high frequencies than with UTP cables. Category 6A. Category 6 augmented (Cat 6A) is a standard that arises from the increased bandwidth requirements of 10-Gigabit Ethernet (10 GBASE-T). Cat 6A cables are designed for transmission frequencies up to 500 MHz and distances up to 100 m, and they are backward compatible with existing categories.
